Project Engineer – Electrical

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Design & Documentation:

    • Develop and review technical design documents, including single-line diagrams and wiring diagrams for low- and medium-voltage (LV/MV) installations.
    • Perform short-circuit and selectivity calculations for system optimization.
    • Define technical requirements for electrical projects, ensuring compliance with industrial standards and regulations.
  • Component Selection & Integration:

    • Select and specify components such as cables, circuit breakers, motor drives, and active front ends (AFEs).
    • Ensure adherence to standards such as IEC 61439 and Dutch grid codes for grid-connected systems.
  • Testing & Validation:

    • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for industrial electrical systems, documenting results for quality assurance.
    • Create comprehensive project documents, including instruction manuals, maintenance guidelines, technical reports, and test plans.
  • Collaboration & Innovation:

    • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into energy solutions.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies and best practices.
Your profile
  • Education:

    • HBO or university degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on electrical power systems.
  • Experience:

    • Up to 3 years of hands-on experience with low- and medium-voltage systems.
    • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems such as energy storage systems, motors, and turbomachinery.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency with design tools such as EPLAN.
    • Strong understanding of grid codes, technical standards, and electrical system design principles.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Critical thinker with a creative mindset.
    • Motivated, reliable, and an ambitious team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
    • Able to work independently and willing to learn from challenges.
    • Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a plus.
