Project Engineer – Mechanical

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation, and commissioning of turbo machinery and other mechanical components for utility-scale projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

  • Develop detailed technical project documentation to serve as specifications for procurement of machinery and equipment.

  • Take ownership of designated tasks and drive them to completion, from initial planning to final handover.

  • Supervise Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to guarantee performance and compliance with specifications.

  • Ensure all work instructions, methods, and drawings are correctly issued and adhered to by monitoring document control registers.

  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including project leads, contractors, and team members, maintaining regular communication to keep all parties informed.

Your profile

  • Education:

    • HBO or university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

  • Experience:

    • Up to 5 years of hands-on experience with industrial-scale projects
    • Familiarity with energy storage systems, turbomachinery, or power stations is a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong practical knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices for installing and operating complex mechanical systems, particularly in power stations or industrial machinery settings.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Critical thinker with a creative mindset.
    • Motivated, reliable, and an ambitious team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
    • Able to work independently and willing to learn from challenges.

  • Language Skills:

    • Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a plus.
